Goatary Unit at DDS KVK: Boosting Rural Income and Resilience

We have established a Goatary Unit at DDS KVK. Initially, the unit began with 8 female goats. Over the past six months, this number has grown to 18, showcasing significant progress in our goat farming initiative.

The Goatary Unit is a key component of our Integrated Farming System (IFS) approach, designed to diversify agricultural income and provide additional financial stability to rural households.

By integrating goat farming into our operations, we offer an alternative source of income for farmers, especially during periods of crop failure or when main crop revenues are low.

This initiative not only supports the livelihoods of local farmers but also enhances their resilience to economic fluctuations, ultimately contributing to more sustainable and prosperous rural communities.
