Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC)
DDS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Zaheerabad operates an Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) that houses thematic display and demonstration units showcasing indigenous and improved seed varieties of millets, pulses, oilseeds and other food crops, traditional and scientific seed storage methods, and value-added products derived from local crops. Dedicated sections display drudgery reducing farm tools like sugarcane detrasher, weed hoe weeder, sugarcane bud chippers, etc., enabling farmers to assess ergonomically appropriate technologies before adoption.
The centre maintains a curated repository of extension literature, including OFT, FLD advanced farm-technological leaflets, training manuals, institute publications, and KVK magazines, supporting evidence-based decision-making at the farm level. The ATIC also functions as a point of access for bio-inputs, including microbial formulations, pheromone traps and other eco-friendly pest management devices, facilitating the adoption of integrated and natural farming practices.
In addition, the ATIC features demonstration exhibits of liquid organic manures, bio-pesticides, and models of advanced agricultural technologies, providing visual and practical learning support during trainings, field visits, and farmer–scientist interactions.
